Careers Adviser – Education and Guidance

We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join us in providing impartial and high-quality Careers Information, Advice and Guidance for young people (pre and post 16). This will include face to face and virtual, 1:1 and group activities, in schools/colleges and community settings.

The successful candidate will recognise and value the importance of the development of the whole person and demonstrate a commitment to supporting us to provide young people with the skills, knowledge, experience and motivation that they will need to be successful in their next phase in life.



The right candidate will find the best ways to help young people make effective decisions and achieve successful transitions. This role will require you to establish effective partner relationships with schools, colleges, learning providers, employers and key partners.

A level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development is essential to this role – please do not apply if you do not hold this qualification. Candidates must be innovative, enthusiastic and meet the appropriate person specification. Vital to the job role, is the ability to relate to and communicate with our young people effectively, many of whom will be experiencing significant barriers. .

We deliver contracts, predominantly, across Tameside, Oldham and Rochdale and you would be expected to travel throughout these Boroughs if needed.

Salary : Qualified PSO4 – £29,300.42 per annum
