National Apprenticeship Week 2021

8th - 12th Feb: Training provider information sessions

To mark National Apprenticeship Week we have arranged a series of information sessions with apprenticeship training providers who will tell you everything you need to know about the different apprenticeships they offer.

Signing up with a training provider is often a really good way of improving your chances of moving into an apprenticeship as they have members of staff who try to source vacancies and will put you forward for an apprenticeship if they think you are suitable.

You can attend as many sessions as you like – they are all delivered remotely over Microsoft Teams, are no longer than 30 mins each, and to ensure your comfort you will not be expected to be on camera/mic. You can ask questions via the chat facility if needed. Please see below for the timetable.

Book a place on your chosen sessions today!

Prompt Payment

Positive Steps has signed up to The Prompt Payment Code (PPC), a voluntary code of practice for businesses, administered by the Office of the Small Business Commissioner (SBC) on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). It was established in December 2008 and sets standards for payment practices between organisations of any size and their suppliers.

By signing up to the code, Positive Steps has undertaken to always:

1) pay suppliers on time, within agreed terms;
2) give clear guidance to suppliers on terms, dispute resolution and prompt notification of late payment (CLICK HERE for more info)

3) support good practice throughout their supply chain by encouraging adoption of the Code.

Cliff Shields, Director of Corporate Services says: “We have a good track record of paying our suppliers on time and I feel adopting the code further demonstrates our support to suppliers during this difficult economic period."

The Prompt Payment Code has the backing of the UK Government, the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the Forum of Private Business (FPB), The Federation of Small Business (FSB) and the institute of Directors (IoD).
