How we can support you when you leave Year 11

During your time in Year 12 and 13, we will be in touch at regular intervals to check that all is well with your chosen Post 16 pathway, whether that is college, sixth form, training, an apprenticeship or job.

 

What if I’m not doing anything and I’d like some help?

  • Unemployed , Not in Education or Training

    Our Careers Service can help you get a dedicated Career Adviser that you can talk to about your options and they can help you make plans for your next steps

  • How we can help you

    This can be done at your pace, and through whichever method you choose. Some people prefer a face to face chat, some prefer a telephone chat and others are happier to talk via email or our live chat. We offer a number of ways to work with us to reach your goals

There is no rush – we can help you over a period of time. Not everybody feels ready and you may have other barriers or problems to overcome. It’s likely that we can help, or we know a person who can, so please do contact us.

What if I’m at college or sixth form?

If you would like career guidance or support with looking for part time employment, it’s likely that you will have a college guidance team that you can approach. Please ask at Student Services. If you are at risk of dropping out of your college place, then please do contact us.

What if I’m in an apprenticeship, training or a job?

We’re happy to help if you are unhappy in your current situation and would like some help. Please do contact us. We can offer out of hours support so you don’t have to take time off.

So, what are the options for me?

As well as the usual options of sixth form, college, apprenticeships and jobs, there are also additional opportunities of provision. These include personal development opportunities and training which can help to build confidence and are a good stepping stone to your next stage.
