Positive Steps has been delivering employer related learning services since 1974. We work across Greater Manchester and beyond and have an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative and inspirational interventions that have a real impact on young people, adults and families.

The Employment & Skills Service team work extremely hard in developing and improving young people's work readiness and softer skills set through "character education" and have developed the following services that are available for you to refer into:

  • Work Experience Placements including block placements, work tasters and sector specific vocational work experience that supports T Levels and Study programmes
  • Positive Futures – Supported Work Experience utilising a transitional mentoring approach
  • In House Pre Placement Work Readiness Activities including Positive Cycles, DIY Home Maintenance, Pre Gym Fitness, #Girlpower and one to one bespoke mentoring
  • Employer Related Learning – Includes Employer Sector Visits, Employer Speed Networking Events, Aspirational Visits, Mock Interviews, Employer Talks, Careers Fairs and Enterprise Programmes
  • Positive Primaries – Supporting the careers agenda in Primary Education
  • Virtual Employer Encounters – V Talks and Live Q&A
