Connect to Your Future
Connect To Your Future helps young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET. COVID-19 has had many impacts on young people, including missed education, social isolation and anxiety. Many may feel disengaged from mainstream education and support services.
Connect To Your Future helps young people to identify their career options and identify learning and work opportunities. We also offer support and encouragement to help them build self-confidence, motivation and resilience to progress to sustainable career outcomes.
Connect To Your Future provides tailored mentoring and wellbeing support to help young people achieve positive career outcomes. Our Career Coaches and Mentors work with local partners to support young people at key transition points in their career journey. These include leaving school or starting college, training or employment.
We aim to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.
About the funding:
Greater Manchester Combined Authority has awarded our partner organisation, Career Connect with £5million from the European Social Fund to deliver one strand of its NEET and Youth Employment Programme. Positive Steps have been commissioned to deliver Connect To Your Future across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.
Connect To Your Future is a brand new engagement and mentoring programme supporting 3,000 of the city-region's most disengaged young people aged 15-19 with bespoke advice and guidance, delivery will commence from January 2022 to September 2023.
Positive Steps will also work closely with Ingeus, another training provider in Greater Manchester that is delivering the GMCA's second strand of the NEET and Youth Employment Programme, focusing on young people aged between 18 and 24.
