The Role
We seek to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Engagement Worker to work with children who are working with the youth justice service or who are reported missing from home. You will support Case Managers to engage with children who are subject to preventative interventions, out of court disposals and statutory court orders with the overall aim being to promote desistence and affect positive change to their lives. In addition, you will support the Missing from Home service through offering a return home interviews which provide an opportunity for the child to discuss the reasons they went missing from home, the vulnerabilities they may have been exposed to and what can be done to protect them from going missing again, with a view to reducing the frequency of incidents and safeguard them from harm. Accurate and timely recording and sharing of information with a multi- agency team is key to this.
You would be expected to work from our Oldham office, home and out in the community.
