Introduction to the projects
‘Empower Oldham’ and ‘Engaging Rochdale’ are new projects aimed at connecting with young people who are currently Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). The tailored provision will include mentoring, wellbeing support and practical solutions, to build confidence, resilience and motivation. Support will be creative and will focus on removing barriers and learning new skills, helping young people on their journey towards learning and employment.
We can work with young people aged 16-19 (or up to age 25 if care experienced or with an EHCP). Young people aged 15+ who are at significant risk of becoming NEET may also eligible for support.

If you are working with someone who would benefit from this support, please follow the link to complete the referral. Places are limited, so referrals will be assessed for suitability before being accepted. If you would like to talk through a referral before submitting, please get in touch. If you are a young person or parent/carer and would be interested in this project, please contact us on ukspf@positive-steps.org.uk or 0161 621 9400.
‘Empower Oldham’ and ‘Engaging Rochdale’ are supported by Oldham Local Authority and Rochdale Local Authority, respectively. We are delighted to be working in partnership to deliver this much needed support to local young people.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
