The Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting adults via referral through Probation in Oldham around a range of needs to reduce the risk of re-offending. You will require experience and knowledge of working with welfare issues, adults and/or criminal justice, be committed to work with a person centred and trauma informed approach.
You will draw on your skills as an experienced worker to support the continued development of the Oldham Wellbeing Hub at Positive Steps to provide support for adults around a range of needs e.g. mental health, employment, finances. You will need to work professionally, linking closely with the Probation service and working in collaboration with partners in the community to help us to deliver a thriving and successful offer.
You will work independently to manage a caseload of clients, ensuring that National Standards are being met and risk appropriately managed. You will deliver one-to-one sessions and work as part of the team to deliver a groupwork programme. You will need to be self-motivated and have excellent initiative and problem-solving skills to support the successful delivery of this project.
You will represent Positive Steps when working closely with our partners in Probation, The Big Life Group and a range of other community services.
As part of your role you will be helping to gather evidence around the impact of the Welfare Hub to support the development of practice and ensure effectiveness.
