The Role

This is a newly-created role within our Family, Community and Justice services directorate – and an exciting opportunity to further develop and lead on our prevention offer for families and adults at Positive Steps.

You will draw on your substantial experience of managing and leading services to act as the operational lead for the All Age Early Intervention and Prevention Service (Early Help), Young Carers Service and our Adult and Community services including the Wellbeing Hub. Your role will include liaising with commissioners, ensuring that services are contract compliant and driving performance to achieve excellent outcomes for young people, families and adults.

Drawing on your knowledge, you will provide family and community sector expertise within Positive Steps and provide reassurance around our systems to local, regional and national partners.

As a Senior Leader for Positive Steps, you will work to ensure good integration of our offer internally and that services are working towards achieving our strategic aims. You will be a representative for the organisation and will develop links with our key partners to maximise opportunities for local integration and to strengthen our links in the community. This will include working with the Director to identify opportunities for diversification and developing funding bids.

Your personal skills and qualities are key to the success of this role. You will inspire and motivate your teams, make decisions under pressure and show a creative and strengths-based approach to resolving problems.

As a Service Lead you will need to be visible and well-connected to your teams. This is a hybrid role, meaning that you will be primarily working from our central Oldham office, but will also attend partnership meetings in community settings and sometimes work within your own home according to business needs.

Positive Steps is an equal opportunities organisation and applications are welcome from all sections of the community.

If you have the required experience, feel you are a good fit with Positive Steps’ vision and values and are committed to making a difference then we look forward to receiving your application.

If you are interested in applying for the vacancy, please read the job description and submit your application. For further information please contact rinadabhi@positive-steps.org.uk for a further discussion.

Closing Date: Wednesday 26th June, midday

Selection – In-tray exercise and Panel Interview: Friday 12th July (TBC)
