Transforming Lives: Our New Wellbeing Service for Individuals in the Probation System

General

The Wellbeing Service was officially launched on Monday 22nd of January , in partnership with GMCA and The Big Life. The formal launch event which took place in Manchester, served as a platform to network, reinforce partnerships, and bring together teams from each region to celebrate collective success!

This service works in local communities across Greater Manchester for individuals navigating the probation system. Operating through a streamlined referral process, the service offers free, personalised support to individuals in the system.

Upon accessing the service, individuals receive tailored support aligned with their aspirations and goals. This encompasses emotional regulation, decision making, wellbeing support, healthy choices, mediation, finance, debt and benefit advice. With a focus on trauma-informed support, the Wellbeing Service prioritises individual’s strengths and aspirations for positive progress going forward.  The overarching objective is to provide opportunities, tools, and positive relationships, reducing the likelihood of future engagement with probation services.

While offering practical support, the service also works with local organisations giving access to in-depth local knowledge and convenient locations to ensure individuals have all the tools, information and support needed to succeed whilst on probation.
