Took my bike to these guys today as they were running a free check / maintenance initiative. Wow! They spent ages checking over and doing repairs on a bike I was given to learn on, I am so appreciative of their help as I have zero idea what I'm doing. And they were all volunteers too, such a great bunch of guys, really friendly, and amazing that they are doing this for the community. Thanks very much! Can't recommend highly enough.

Meeting Ethan, the head mechanic in the bike workshop at Positive Steps. This was enabled by grant funding from our Capability Fund from Active Travel England, and it a great resource for anyone in Oldham that hasn’t got access to a cycle. There are a variety of bikes to borrow, and a constantly renewed stock of reclaimed and recycled bikes, provided by Ethan and his team. For anyone returning to cycling, it’s good to try out different cycles to see which is best suited to them.

The traditional education path is not for everyone, and some young people can become disengaged if they are not offered the appropriate support. Thank you for having me! It was fantastic to see the help and support on offer for young people from across my constituency. Keep up the good work.
