We wanted to take a moment to celebrate our Getting Out For Good girls, who after lots of hard work and dedication, have completed their AQA course in Hair! Their last session was fun and exciting as they got to try out some colourful festival hairstyles. The girls were also treated to some sweets and chocolate to celebrate their achievement.
Getting Out For Good is a mentoring project for girls aged 14 – 21 who are at risk of involvement in Youth Violence in the community. Through our mentoring programme, the girls are allocated a mentor who works with them to understand their strengths and create a support plan to better the girls wellbeing.
The program allows the girls to receive AQAs in a range of areas, which helps further their development and future career prospects.
Congratulations to the girls for gaining these amazing accreditations! We also want to say a huge thank you to Jodie Ferrari Makeup Academy who supported and tutored the girls over the sessions, they had an amazing time learning new skills.
