YJS Case Manager climbs Mount Kilimanjaro

General

Our incredible Case Manager from our Youth Justice Service, Shajia, has climbed all the way to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to fundraise for Humanitarian Aid fundraising for Action for Humanity.

Back in November, Shajia hosted a Breakfast Fundraiser in our Oldham office for all staff of Positive Steps, serving delicious breakfast treats in return for donations.

We asked her about the experience and she said,

It was literally the most challenging thing I have ever done short after childbirth! I feel extremely humbled and grateful for what I have and able to live in my privileged world and be able to support those in need. It really has made me appreciate my loved ones and also the immense support I received from my colleagues, friends and family throughout this process has been outstanding and heart-warming!!

In May 2023, The YJS Case Manager also climbed Mount Toukbal to raise money for young people in Syria to receive prosthetic limbs through ACTION FOR HUMANITY. As part of her fundraising, she sold food to colleagues and partners here at Positive Steps whilst also spreading awareness about this cause via social media and other activities to raise money. See below

Donations are still open for Shajia’s fundraiser – If you’d like to contribute, you can do so by clicking the donation button below.
